Today a new website has raised it heads from the ashes of the LimoFoundation. We are now presented with the Tizen Associates, a website and association that is designed to enable key stakeholders to actively shape the industry role of Tizen and develop its market presence.

Tizen Association is led by a Board of Directors which is tasked with the gathering of requirements, identification and facilitation of service models, and overall industry marketing and education.

Initially as Intel wasn't a member of LiMO, they are now working through the process of finalising their membership in the Tizen Association. Intel has confirmed that they are committed to Tizen. Tizen still remains a Linux Foundation project

Tizen Association is focused more on the marketing / industry side, while the technical steering group under the Linux Foundation is responsible for Tizen development. The role of steering group can be found here: https://www.tizen.org/about

The association consists of the following members

Following the initial announcement of Tizen by LiMo Foundation and Linux Foundation on 27 September 2011, Tizen Association has been launched to enable key stakeholders to actively shape the industry role of Tizen and develop its market presence.

The mobile marketplace has undergone extensive change over the past few years: new platforms have emerged; new revenue models have been enabled, and innovations continue to emerge rapidly from all corners of the industry. Tizen will facilitate open opportunity by providing a fresh platform that offers a high level of flexibility in service selection and deployment.

Tizen Association is led by a Board of Directors which guides the industry role of Tizen, including gathering of requirements, identification and facilitation of service models, and overall industry marketing and education.

Tizen Association will also introduce a partner program in Q1 2012 which will enable additional stakeholders to provide input and take part in market development activities associated with Tizen.
