Do you want to fine tune your Marmalade Development skills? Well tomorrow is a Marmalade Developer Day which will give you a thorough run down of the new Marmalade 7 SDK, showing you how cross platform games and applications can be possible. Also a chance to Meet Marmalade SDK Engineers and the Developer Support Team.

There will also be the chance to organise one-to-one meetings to discuss technical issues, tips on publishing your game or app or anything else you would like to chat about relating to our products and services.

Agenda - beginning at 10am

Introducing Marmalade 7

Marmalade 7 marks a step change in our evolution as a cross-platform solution. For new and established Marmalade users alike, we believe there has never been an easier, more user-friendly or more intuitive way to take your codebase cross-platform.
You’ll hear all about the new features of Marmalade 7 including a dependency checker to take the guess work out of knowing if all the pre-requisites are installed so you can begin targeting cross platform and The Hub which enables developers to perform common tasks quickly and easily.

Introducing Marmalade Quick

Marmalade Quick is our fast, flexible and open RAD programming environment for the creation of 2D games and apps using the Lua programming language meaning developers can create high-quality cross-platform apps and games in a fraction of the time it would take with other tools. We’ll be introducing Marmalade Quick and provide an “under the hood” look at our own Marmalade Quick title, Signal to the Stars.

Best Practices for Games Design – A Studio's Perspective

Marmalade Game Studio has been behind a number of AAA titles over the last few years including Backbreaker, Lara Croft and the Guardians of Light and Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies. They’ll be providing insight into their development techniques and best practices including how to approach a simultaneous cross-platform launch.

Marmalade’s Developer Incentive Programs

Over the past year Marmalade has run offers with Microsoft, BlackBerry and Tizen which provides developers with free Marmalade licences and free devices in return for quality apps. We’ll cover how you can get involved and how to make the most of these great opportunities.

Building Applications and Games for Windows Phone 8 and Tizen

Not everyone is familiar with 2013’s new platforms, Windows Phone 8 and Tizen, and we’ll be showing attendees how easy it is to deploy your Marmalade game or app to these new operating systems while offerings some hints and tips along the way.

Marmalade's Future

Attendees will get an exclusive look at what’s on the road map for the Marmalade SDK in 2014 including a Q&A with the Head of the SDK.

Marmalade Play

An overview of our newly re-branded publishing service, helping some of the best Marmalade developers make the most of their games accross all of the many platforms supported by our SDK. We will look at a few success stories and at how we can help all kind of developers reach the widest possible audience.

QA and Troubleshooting Your Mobile Applications

QA is a vital part of any game or app’s development and our in house QA team and Support team will explain how they troubleshoot technical issues and ensure a game or app is ready for release.
