Since the Gear 2 was released there has been a gradual influx of Tizen Gear 2 watch clock faces over the last month. Here we have the initial release of the Yotta Gear watch face, which at first glance looks like a little bit unorthodox, a blast from the LCD casio display past, but it turns out this clock face has a very nobile mission, "to make sure that you do not miss another calendar, ever again", as calendar entries are displayed on the watch face.
This clock face originally debuted in 2005 on the wristPDA, which was made by Fossil. Now, many moons later (9 years if your counting), it comes to the Gear 2.
The calendar update interval is every 5 minutes, but it can be forced to update by simply tapping on the digits of the display. The app is listed for $2.99
The Yotta app has been submitted to Samsung Apps, and it is hoped it will be available for general sale soon. The developer, David Trotz has many more changes and improvements planned, in fact there is a version 1.1 update planned soon after its official release, and even an Gear 3 version in the pipes planned. You can contact David directly, if you are in a position to provide assistance in translating the app into other languages, or if you want to provide feedback. Email: [email protected]
