Samsung Electronics has today released the NX500, its latest mirrorless camera that replaces the NX300M Smart camera, and features a 28-megapixel APS-C CMOS Sensor that has Back Side Illumination (BSI), making it ideal as a small camera for clear pictures in low light environments.
“We recognize the sentimental value of a photograph in people’s lives and being able to capture and share the perfect moment from wherever they are. That is why Samsung has built a camera suitable for everyday photographers,” said Sangmoo Kim, Senior Vice President of IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics. “The compact size of the NX500 and its revolutionary shooting and focus speed allow consumers to enjoy superb image quality. We are redefining what is possible for people who are not professional photographers, and offering everyone the ability to capture their signature moments in every shot."
The NX500 has the same DRIMe V image processor that is found in the NX series flagship NX1 Smart camera, which offers great image quality, faster processing time, and camera recording of 4K and UHD 4K. NX500 has other features such as fast and slow video modes, interval shooting functions, AF tracking function, shooting at up to 9 frames per second, Samsung Auto Shot function and Wireless connectivity including Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, and the Samsung Camera Manager application that enables you to share your pictures faster.
