Gear Manager update

The Samsung Gear Manager app has today been updated to version 2.2.15022599 , but unfortunately there is no changelog available at the moment and no new features, at least what I can see, so we can presume this is a general bug fix release.

Manual Update

If you have not got a notification to update your Gear Manager App then you can manually update it via Samsung Galaxy Apps.

  • Launch Samsung Galaxy Apps
  • Select top left hand side menu button
  • Select purchased
  • Select the Gear Manager application to update
  • Press Update

If you have updated to this version and are still having issues, you can install an old gear manager version manually until the next Gear Manager update.

  1. WTF 🙁 Auto-install for 2.2.15022599 ruined the connection from Note 4 to Gear S. (It never seemed like the auto-update completed.) So, in an attempt to reestablish connection, I just uninstalled and reinstalled Samsung Gear Manager on the Note 4. As I am typing this, the newly reloaded Gear Manager has been trying to connect to Gear S but never does ... this is such bullshit. Don't force auto upgrades until you have all the bugs worked out

  2. Wound up doing a complete factory reset on the Gear S ... which, thanks to the stupid-ass Gear app system, means I have to repurchase apps / reinstall apps ... but stii no connection. So my watch is basically bricked now ... I am so F'ing pissed!

    1. I'm sick of auto updates ruining my day. Why can't we have the option to choose if we want to update?
We are mature enough to check the Samsung website to confirm new updates are BUG FREE before we update manually.
Why won't Samsung LISTEN to its customers?

Why won't Samsung LISTEN to its customers for once?

    1. I couldn't agree more. This one (same as previous and...) screwed up sync with S Health (again, same as...) and I had to waste time re-installing from scratch (I'm unaware of other method to fix this) both apps...losing all the Gear faces and themes in the process.
I had ZERO interest upgrading, had I been give the choice.

  4. (Gear1 running Tizen)
Since the last update on 17th March my battery lasts less than a day! It's losing around 10% per hour just sitting on the table - no alerts, screen brightness set to 3, checking battery level every 20 minutes....
Before that update, I was getting 2 days between charging.
so what can I do to fix it?

  5. I finally got my Gear 2 Neo with this version! (Galaxy S4). However the NOTIFICATIONS option crashes and doesn't display the apps. I can't change the notifications at all.
Another version on my Tab 12.1 pro does allow this, but doesn't fit in my pocket or have a phone.

    Any ideas appreciated.

  6. The connection to my Samsung Galaxy Gear 2 was disconnected and when I tried to reconnect, it would no reconnect. Just continually says 'waiting for confirmation from Samsung gear...' Bluetooth says connected on my phone but when I tap the watch on the Gear manager, the Gear manager crashes and starts over. Still unable to connect. Am I the only person with this problem??

  7. I've just got an forced update for Gear Manager to version 2.2.15070942 (on S5 and S6)

The new Gear Manager is pretty broken, it won't detect my Gear 2.
It invites me to download com.samsung.android.gear2s module from Google Play (which doesn't exist!) and then doesn't get past a loading screen with the "loading" circle.

    Anyone else getting this?

  8. Is it supported in Samsung Tab S ?

Its not working in Tab S, Every time i try to connect tells me that gear not found.....

what I have to do ??

    Please can anyone help me (';
