Samsung NX1 and NX500 Smart Camera's get Software update for Marshmallow compatibility issue

The Samsung NX1 and NX500 received a software update this morning in order for them to fix a bluetooth connectivity problem with Android Marshmallow 6.0

Just when we were thinking that the Samsung NX1 and NX500 Tizen Smart Cameras were no longer receiving any firmware updates, then two drop all at once. The NX1 has now been updated to version 1.41 and the NX500 version 1.11. The upgrade was necessary to resolve a bluetooth connection issue with Android version 6.0 marshmallow. You also need to update the Android Samsung Camera Manager App to v1.6.07.160510 or later version in order to connect to the camera.


- Fixed Bluetooth connection problem with Smart phone (Android Marshmallow 6.0 version).

Update together camera firmware and Samsung Camera Manager App
- Camera Firm ware : v1.12 or later version
- Samsung Camera Manager App : v1.6.07.160510 or later version


You can use iLauncher to update your Smart Camera or download the firmware file to your SD Card and update. Download files ofr the NX1 here and NX500 here. The file sizes are 314MB for the NX1 and 282MB for the NX500. There is still no news on further future updates for these smart camera, but we are grateful for what we receive. Happy updating.
