Today, T-mobile have announced DIGITS, their new service that is a competitor to AT&T Number Sync service, that allows you to have multiple numbers on multiple devices, at the same time.  The company had announced that their new service would make AT&T's NumberSync look small and they might have just achieved that.

Digits is already built into Samsung’s latest smartphones, including the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 edge. T-Mobile will also support the Gear S3 Frontier LTE and Gear S2 3G smartwatches. Check the video further down to see it in action.

Customers are no longer tied to a SIM or a device. Leaving your smartphone at home might not be such an issue, as now you can simply log into another device. Your call log, messages, contacts, and voicemail are all replicated over all devices automatically, allowing you to carry on where you left off.

T-Mobile have confirmed that dedicated apps will be available to download and Install on other carriers handsets such as AT&T, Sprint or Verizon, allowing personal handsets to carry work numbers. This would hugely cut down on telecommunication costs for small and medium-sized businesses. The new infrastructure that supports this new system is called IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) service management layer and Identify Management solution. Authentication of the service is done via Home Location Register (HLR) that would enable carrier-grade LTE reliability
