Samsung Z2 gets firmware update BQA2, brings with it WiFi Calling option

Jan 18, 2017

Today, the Samsung Z2 Tizen Smartphone has received a new firmware update in India, Tizen version BQA2 (Z200FDDU0BQA2), which is only a 27.4MB download. This update should improve your device's stability, performance and the usual bug fixes. Samsung has explicitly outlined that there are security improvements, so it is best to get updating sooner than later.

As well as the usual security updates we also get WiFi Calling over the Reliance Jio network, which we have not checked out at the moment, so we welcome your feedback.

Manual Check

If you do not get automatically prompted to update your firmware, you can manually check by using the steps below:

  • Select Settings
  • Select About Device
  • Select Software Update
  • Select Check for updates

Have you updated your software? Let us know how well the WiFi calling works for you in the comments section below. Follow Team Tizen for all the Tizen news 🙂
