Samsung Electronics Co today released its most recent innovation in the company's home market, South Korea. This follows the release of its artistic Frame TV in Norway and Switzerland.  It commenced official sales of its latest TV model (The Frame) that closely looks like a piece of artwork hung on a wall. Apart from 4K and HDR technologies, "The Frame" is known for its artistic design and its bezel and frame which can be interchanged to match the styling of a room.

The Frame TV is designed with built-in light and motion sensors thus it can carry out certain functions like automatically turning on and off to save power when there’s no one in the room. It can easily blend into the background due to the customizable bezels which are available in various colors and materials. The company’s clear-colored ‘Invisible Connection Cable’ also gives this TV an amazing look.

"The Frame," is available to local customers for KRW 3.44 million (approx. $3,043) for the 55-inch version while the 65-inch model retails for KRW 5.15 million (approx. $4,594). This TV won an innovation award at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2017) in Las Vegas earlier this year. Samsung said that this TV, which is equipped with an interchangeable bezel, offers UHD picture quality when turned on and looks like a piece of artwork when it is not in use. Officials said that customers will have access to 100 paintings and photographs from 37 renowned artists, and can access the Art Store to purchase additional artworks. Personal images can also be displayed.

Samsung Electronics exhibited the Frame at the 57th Venice Biennale in May this year and this model was presented at the press room and the VIP dining hall. Han Seung-hee, Samsung's vice president of the visual display business said that "The technology packed into the set should be able to satisfy each customer's lifestyle, hobby, and desire," He further stated that "The Frame is the perfect TV to perfectly go along with any ambience in line with this philosophy."

Samsung Electronics said the users of this Tizen-powered TV can also adjust the brightness of the display based on the ambient light levels produced by the room's decoration.
