A few decades ago, sailors knew how to read the stars, use a sextant and plot charts but these days, the benefits of technology, electronic instruments, and sailing/ boating apps for our phones, tablets and now smartwatches have made sailing much more easier. There are apps for tides, weather, plotting charts, learning rules, knots or signs, finding other ships and planning your trip. One of such apps has now been developed for the Samsung Gear S2 and S3. You can now take control of all sailing parameters right from your wrist which is more convenient and readily accessible.

"Ocean Sailor" was developed specifically for the Samsung Gear Series (Samsung Gear S2 and Gear S3). With this app, you could now track your sail the next time you go out boating or yachting. This app is specifically designed with boaters in mind. It offers real-time location based tracking, history of past trips information,  ocean map markers, tide & weather forecast, and 911 emergency call feature.

We have heard so much about Samsung Gear S2 and S3 and we should know by now that it is a military grade smartwatch which can perform a lot of functions. It is great to have a top-of-the-line smartwatch which can do a lot of amazing stuff but believe me, it is much better when such device performs a combination of work and play. Samsung Gear S series runs the Tizen OS which is relatively new thus more apps are been introduced.

Presently, there are thousands of developers working on the Tizen platform with thousands of apps. Incentive programs like the Tizen Mobile App Incentive Program, which is scheduled to run from February to October, and the Indonesia Next Apps (INA) 4.0 have helped a lot and many Tizen developers have benefitted immensely from these programs.
