Samsung Electronics TV business is consistently growing and new products/innovations seem to spring out from this section multiple times in a year. A few weeks ago, Samsung unveiled its 82-inch premium UHD TV (MU8000) in a bid to provide consumers with a wider variety of screen size options. There is an increasing demand for larger screen premium TV’s which has now inspired Samsung to release its 88-inch QLED TV model to the global market thereby adding to its QLED TV lineup which includes 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch models.

Today, Samsung announced the release of the 88-inch Tizen-based QLED TV, the Q9, in North America and Korea. Earlier this year, this product was launched in Southeast Asia and it is scheduled to be unveiled in Europe in a few weeks’ time. Jongsuk Chu, Senior Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics said

“At Samsung, we are aiming to expand our footprint in the ultra-premium TV market with our ultra-large QLED TV models that embody the perfect combination of technology and art…With their superior picture quality and innovative features, we are confident that our QLED TV lineup will continue to drive sales and solidify Samsung’s leadership in the global TV market.”

The Q9 got an award from one of Germany’s renowned consumer electronics magazines, Video Magazine, which praised the product and termed it as the 'best practice for HDR TV.’ It features premium design, quality display, and top-class performance. It produces rich and colorful images just as it is with metal quantum dot technology and also offers remarkable brightness and a wide color gamut. This enables the TV to produce a detailed colour and smooth contrast. The TV and its connected devices can be controlled with a single remote control using the QLED TVs One Remote Control feature.

The Q9 uses the Boundless 360 Design which helps to elevate the ambience of its host room. It has a 1.88mm, transparent optical cable, known as the Invisible Connection which allows a seamless peripheral device connection. The QLED TV design is completed by its No Gap Wall-mount design which ensures that the screen perfectly flushes against the wall without any gap behind it.
