The Tizen platform is slowly expanding and as of now, it runs four smartphones (Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4) as well as numerous wearables and Samsung TV's. Tizen 3.0 is the latest version of the operating system and it brings a number of impressive features such as voice-based control, dual accounts for Facebook and Whatsapp. This version can only be found in Samsung Z4 amongst the smartphones and now, Samsung Gear Sport which was recently unveiled at IFA 2017 held in Berlin, Germany has become the world's first wearable to come with Tizen 3.0.
The Samsung Gear Sport is very portable as it weighs only 50 grams which is more of a fitness tracker weight than a smartwatch weight. Gear Sport has a unique body design and it comes with a round Super AMOLED 1.2-inch screen with 360 x 360 resolution display resolution. It has the LTE Cat 4 150Mb/s for network connectivity and packs a 1GHz Dual-core processor coupled with a Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. The processor is supported by a 768MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM and this wearable supports Samsung’s new voice assistant, Bixby thus operability of this product will be seamless.
The Gear Sport can also be used to control Samsung IoT-enabled devices through Samsung Connect and use your Gear Sport as a remote control for even Samsung’s Gear VR headset. This smartwatch is completely water resistant, well, to a depth of 50m, which means that it can be used for swimming and other aquatic activities. It’s S Health app compatibility ensures that health parameters can be tracked using this wearable.
