Today, there is a new app called “Smart Tools” which is designed for users who want to have an elegant and helpful application on a daily basis. With this app, the right tools are always within your reach when you need to hang a picture, measure or convert a pressure unit before pumping up the tires. This app is quite academic as it gives you leverage to carry out some measurements seamlessly with your smartphone. Smart Tools consists of 4 tools which include:
- Bubble level
- Units Converter
- Flashlight (screen or LED).
When you launch this app, the bubble level automatically turns on, you can then select the feature you need from the bottom of your screen.
This feature works like a plum which is used by bricklayers to determine how straight a wall is. The most interesting part of the bubble level is that it has a very high precision. Turn on the bubble level and place your smartphone on any surface and it will precisely give you the degree of inclination or horizontality of that surface. If you need your image or a mirror on the wall to be accurately vertical, the bubble level can check if the image/mirror is hanging vertically. Furthermore, bubble level will enable you to place an object at a perfect angle to another object e.g. If you need your textbook to be at a 30-degrees inclination to your reading table, the bubble level can give you the exact measurement.
Sometimes, we need to take an urgent measurement but we cant just find a ruler to do the job because of our location, Smart Tools eliminates that setback. This app has a ruler which gives the measurement in millimeters and inches. You can choose either of these units to take the measurement but for every measurement, the result in both units appears on your smartphone screen.
This is another very important feature in this app that helps you to convert from one unit to another. With this feature, you can make a conversion in of area, distance, pressure, temperature, and weight. Below are the units to and from which conversion can be made
Area: Ar (ar2), Centimeter (cm2), Decimeter (dcm2), Foot (ft2), Hectare (ha2), Inch (in2), Kilometer (km2), Meter (m2), Miles (mi)2, Millimeter (mm2), and Yard (yard2).
Distance: Centimeter (cm2), Decimeter (dcm2), Foot (ft2), Inch (in2), Kilometer (km2), Meter (m2), Miles (mi2), Millimeter (mm2), and Yard (yard2).
Pressure: Atmosphere (atm), Bar (bar), Pascal (pa) and Psi (psi).
Temperature: Celsius (C), Fahrenheit (F), Kelvin (K), and Rankine (R).
Weight: Carat (ct), Dekagram (dag), Gram (g), Kilogram (kg), Ounce (oz), Pound (ib), Quintal (q), Stone (st) and Ton (T).
Flashlight (screen or LED)
The flashlight can give you light in two ways, it can either increase your screen brightness to maximum levels which is a source of light or it will put on your LED flashlight depending on what you need. As soon as you select the flashlight option, your screen brightness increases to maximum levels but if you need the LED flashlight, tap on “LED” at the bottom left corner of your screen to put the flashlight. Note that once the LED flashlight is on, the screen brightness reduces to the ambient level.
This app is only 0.69MB in size thus you shouldn’t have any problems in downloading and installing it. It is available for all Tizen smartphones (Samsung Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4). If you have any question or suggestion about this app, send a feedback to the developers or leave a comment on the comment section below.
