I think we all know what O2 is, right? If you don't, here's your explanation. O2 is a UK mobile network that apparently has the highest customer satisfaction rates with about 25 million customers. They provide 2G, 3G and 4G networks across the UK and operate O2 Wi-Fi. So it's pretty big.
This company has announced that selected customers will be able to free roam in 27 international countries that include the United States of America, Mexico and Australia (countries that aren't in the EU). That means, if you're with O2, you can now free data roam in 75 locations around the world. You can also have access to other services. Such as home data services. This may sound amazing, but, O2 restricts travellers to only 120 minutes and 120 texts per day. Nothing happens to your data usage (woo hoo!)
UK network providers are obligated to allow free roaming in all European Union locations but once the UK leaves the EU, the providers will need to restore the free roaming fees.
Now all O2 users get to go to more places with their network provider 🙂
