Samsung has just announced its second smartwatch under the Galaxy brand. Called, Galaxy Watch Active, the device is the successor to the Gear Sport, Samsung's fitness-focused watch from 2017. The Galaxy Watch Active is also all about fitness, and naturally, boasts a number of improvements over the Gear Sport.

Here's a run down of how the two fitness-focused watches from Samsung compare.

Galaxy Watch Active vs Gear Sport

Samsung has brought about a significant change in design with the Galaxy Watch Active. The watch comes sans the company's signatory rotating bezel, and also sports a much sleeker look. The screen is curved at the edges. It, however, does keep the two physical buttons on its side. The Galaxy Watch Active also differs from the Gear Sport in terms of screen space. Under the hood, the Galaxy Watch Active gets the dual-core Exynos 9110 processor, up from Exynos 3520 in the Gear Sport. The RAM and ROM configurations are similar though.
