Samsung Gear S3 Update for System Reliability now available - Yet Again

The Samsung Gear S3 gets another update for system reliabiloty and stops automatically synchronising alarms between the smartphone and smartwatch.

New news on the firware update scene for the Samsung Gear S3. This update is for America and East Asia as of now, but, as always, will head towards to other markets in the coming days and weeks. This update is for bug fixes, it improves system reliability and disables automatic sync of alarm paired from smartphone to smartwatch. The latter of the three was something that many people were complaining about.

For example, there was an update for the smartwatch just last month. This update was for synchronising alarms between the smartphone and smartwatch and also for improved system reliability. That update was originally found in Germany and Israel.

The firmware version on the change log is R76OXXU2CRH2 / R760OXA2CRH2. The file size of the update for the Samsung Gear S3 is only 11.8MB.

A Little Bit of Background

The Gear S3 was announced back in August 2016 and was released in November the same year. The dimensions of the smartwatch is 49 x 46 x 12.9mm and it weighs 63g. It also has a circular 1.3-inch, 360 x 360, Super AMOLED display - Approximately 278 PPI count. It has 768MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM. As well as this, the smartwatch has five different sensors. Those five are an accelerometer, a barometer, a gyro sensor, a HR sensor and a light sensor.
