At CES 2020 Amazfit launched two new smartwatches. These smartwatches are the Amazfit Bip S and the Amazfit T-Rex. I thought the T-Rex was extinct?! Read below to find out their super special features.
This smartwatch has a 1.3-inch, 360 x 360 AMOLED screen. The dimensions of the Amazfit T-Rex is 47.7×47.7×13.5mm and weighs about 58 grams. Like many other smartwatches, the Amazfit T-Rex has a round dial.
The 390mAh battery is said to last for about 20 days of use but depends on how and how regularly you use the smartwatch. It takes 2 hours for the smartwatch to fully charge. If you have GPS continuously on, the smartwatch is supposed to last 20 hours. A very dramatic change in longevity. There is an optical heart rate sensor, axis accelerator, geomagnetic sensor, and an ambient light sensor.
The smartwatch itself has also passed military testing as it is MIL-STD-810G compliant and has passed 12 tests when it comes to military grade testing. It can withstand from minus 40 degrees and all the way up to 70 degrees. The 5ATM water resistance rating means that the smartwatch can go 50 meters deep. There are 14 sport modes for you to track your workouts.
The wearable supports Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS + GLONASS support integrated. The smartwatch also supports devices that have Android 5.0 and iOS 10 and above. Amazfit Bip S
Unfortunately with the Amazfit Bip S, the specs and juicy details were not yet disclosed. The smartwatch looks similar to the Amazfit T-Rex but are comes with colourful straps The strap colours are Carbon Black, Red Orange, Warm Pink, and White Rock. Some of the main features include the fact that the smartwatch has a 5ATM water resistance water rating. Adding to this, the Bip S has heart rate monitor. The battery is said to last 40 days! This must be when GPS is used minimally because we all know GPS drains our batteries. As well as the GPS, there is integrated Huawei PAI analysis system and GLONASS.
There are 10 sport modes as well as music control and notifications for your calls and messages. There is also an alarm clock and a world clock – pretty cool features. The smartwatch doesn’t weigh much at all – a measly 30 grams with over 40 watchfaces. The Amazfit Bip S is priced at $69.90 – almost half the price of the Amazfit T-Rex!
