The Galaxy Fit 2 is the next evolution in Samsung's stable of affordable wearables. It wasn't too long ago that we saw the launch of this device, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The fitness tracker is now LIVE on Samsung UK's website for a small price of £49. There are two colours currently available: Scarlet and Black.
As the name may suggest this is the successor to the original Galaxy Fit. As we might expect we do have some improved specifications and features. The Galaxy Fit2 has a 1.1-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 126×294 pixels. There are 70 watch faces to keep the display Interesting for you Do not worry that is enough pixels to get the job done.
For added endurance, the screen is housed behind a layer of 3D glass. You get IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. You can actually dive down to a depth of 50m with this watch. But to be honest, 5m is a struggle for some of us. Some of us actually means me! What else do you get? A silicon strap should ensure an all-day wear
Hardware-wise the Galaxy Fit2 features an accelerometer, gyro, optical heart rate monitor, and sleep tracking. Built-in you can automatically track five different types of workouts: running, walking, dynamic workout, elliptical trainer, and rowing. It features 2MB RAM, 32MB ROM, and Bluetooth 5.1. It can control music, mirror notifications from the smartphone, and even lets you send quick replies to notifications.
There is also an app that reminds you to wash your hands so you can keep germ and possibly virus free. Samsung claims that the 159mAh battery inside the Galaxy Fit 2 can last up to 21 days on low usage. However, the typical battery life is rated at 15 days. It is compatible with Android and iOS smartphones.
